MEET THE MIO MI TEAM

Rachel has been climbing for over ten years in every form of the discipline. She has spent time in the Andes at 6000+ meters but also enjoys a good boulder session with friends. Rachel pursued graphic design and education in college and has enjoyed a wide variety of jobs in education, art, graphic design, and climbing. She is thrilled to combine her love for art and graphic design with climbing as a graphic designer for team Mio Mi.

May enjoys spending time outside in all seasons and can be found hiking, cross country skiing, camping, or snowboarding around Southwest Montana (usually rocking some Mio Mi gear). After taking a job overseas, followed by stints in Chicago, IL and Long Beach, CA, she is happy to be back in Bozeman working alongside some legendary women. When she’s not trying to get as much vitamin D as possible- it gets dark out here in the winter- she enjoys art, and above all else, being a mom.

Mio Mi Climbing wants to help you be active outside. We specialize in climbing chalk bags + buckets and outdoor and biking accessories. When you buy a Mio Mi product, you can expect innovative design and high-quality fabric + components specifically sourced for each item. Mio Mi chalk bags + buckets, ditty bags, hats, headbands, and custom apparel are hand-sewn in Bozeman, Montana, and we use American-made textiles with water-based ink whenever possible.

When you buy Mio Mi, you are also supporting a woman-owned small business. Miriam Schlotzhauer, an athlete and Austrian designer, began Mio Mi to merge her passions for climbing, mountain sports, biking, and sewing after moving to her husband’s hometown of Bozeman. She started by designing the perfect chalk bag then expanded her inventory to include the current range of outdoor performance gear and accessories. Since Mio Mi is based in Montana, we can rigorously field test our products within the local community of talented and passionate climbers, bikers, and outdoor athletes. We are proud to offer quality-made, athlete-approved gear at a fair price.
